Happy 4th!

Wishing everyone from the States a Happy 4th!! I think I rambled a lot yesterday, and today my ramble would be absolutely insane chatter about nothing at all so…I hope everyone has a fabulous day!! I snuck over and took this fast pic with my bestie Kis because she was too short to reach both arms to either side of the flag and hold it up. Shortpeopleproblems. LOTD 6-12-12

Better late, than never! As the summer hits here, all of my well planned bloggage seems to go right out the window. This skin, by Ploom, was part of the Skin Showcase. Its quite different than my normal skin looks, but I wanted to see how it would look without having to play with my shape sliders etc and I was pretty pleased with the results!

A few of my friends had taken pictures on my beach, I figured I better take a couple as well! Everyone blogged the newest dress by Maitreya, but when I went to look at it it just didn’t scream at me that I must have it. I mean, its lovely, but lovely on everyone except me! Darn it too, because I really love how it looks on people. While I was there I couldn’t walk away empty handed, so these jeans and this top quickly found their way into my inventory and on my av. I’ve been wearing this for ages just so I can get this blog entry out. As one of my friends pointed out these jeans have a ‘great ass’. I may not change, I like the stares it gets!

Its a good thing I got the pictures on my beach anyway, the sim is now long gone and a new one with more prims has taken its place. I do this so often, it doesn’t even surprise anyone anymore. On to the next blog and decorating a new sim! Its my happy place.

Another extremely busy day today, so I was a bit lazy and am just blogging what I wandered around for work in. Yes, clearly, I bought more than I should of with the new coldLogic release, the tube and jacket sets are amazing. Matched with a necklace by Cailyn’s and pants by Jane, I was good to go for work.

Now that work is over, I could seriously use a little bit of fun. I didn’t get a picture of it, but slipping on a mini-skirt and ditching the jacket becomes the perfect after work time to go dancing look. Oh, why didn’t I get a picture? Because SL took that opportunity to refuse to clear up my face, in any skin, ever again. Oh SL. I do love to hate you.

Good grief I could use some stress relief, people. Let me hide behind my ignorance for the evening, please.

I know these pics are a bit bright, but that’s how I felt today…light, comfortable, happy. I tend to dress to reflect my mood and if I don’t change at all, its a bad sign. Today I put on the new jeans that were just released by Maitreya. These are the best mesh jeans I have gotten so far, and I am actually glad I fat-packed them. I also picked up some of their new leggings and a skirt, so I am eager to start putting looks together with the new pieces. The more mesh I buy, the more I want to delete everything in my inventory that isn’t mesh. A true pack rat cannot do this though…darn it.

I double meshed my outfit today, which can often cause problems. When I had the medium sized pants on and tossed on this shirt from coldLogic you could see the button in the center of the jeans poking through. Luckily the small was back far enough it no longer shows and I absolutely love the results. Shoes by Ingenue, accessories by Phoenix Rising and hair by Wasabi, pull this all together. Did you hear that? I put on accessories! Knock me over with a feather…..

The rest of my day was fabulous, it always is when I get to get out of the house and enjoy the spring weather. Its still a bit cold and crisp, but promises to be an amazing summer. Oh, and because I think music completely affects the mood and peoples day, here is what I’ve been listening to. For all you beautiful people, much love…

Summer day dreams

LOTD 6-28-11

Goodness, it’s been so long since I have done this, I just about forgot how. Now that I am able to work from my main av, and lets face it, Dinalya has always been my main av, I have a lot more time to come on and get my inventory organized, play around with fashion and such. Yet, I still stand around in the same outfit for days it seems. Work tends to absorb about 60 hours a week, and with starting a side business as well… snapping a picture seemed impossible!

However, I obtained a large amount of poses from this fabulous designer, Purple Poses, who just recently got their own sim with DSE and has set up shop. If you haven’t checked out their poses, it is a must. I went through them all and they are done so well I couldn’t decide which one to work with first. I will be using their poses for a while, and absolutely love them! Put together with a new outfit from Nyte’N'Day, (new as of last week, separates) and the new flip-flops by Maitreya, looked like a sweet and cool outfit for the summer. The dock here is by BAZAR and, while I haven’t gotten a chance to test it out with anyone yet, it looks fabulous! I could easily curl up here and day dream my summer away….

SC & [42] Sale

SC and [42] Sale

So…the girls and I have decided to have a Spring Cleaning sale. No, I haven’t started creating things in SL again, mainly because I’m just no good at it! I have, however, been reminded why I need to get rid of some of the older transferable stuff that I own. I just cannot let my inventory break 50k again, and even with this sale I have a vast amount of items I want to *give* away in the future!

Today however, its time for that Spring Cleaning and a [42] skin sale! What?! Oh yes, thats right, one of us happens to be the skin creator from [42]! Mandy closed her shop for a while, but for this weekend only her skins will be available at my Asylum Grand Illusion location. This includes her Series 1 that will be retired! I talked her into bringing them in world again for the next three days until I move from this location to a new one (again, I know, hush).

Kerra and I dont have a creative bone in our body when it comes to clothing and skins and such, so we dug deep and brought out some of our things that we know we will just never use. This includes items from Mischief, Nyte-N-Day, and best of all, Dazzle. Yes! I am parting ways with even more of my Dazzle items! I’ve been giving them to friends and these are the last pieces I think I can part with, for now that is. I hate to see things wasting away in my inventory and you just cant get these items easily anymore.

Style Card ~ Kitties Lair

It’s days like today that make me painfully aware that spring is nowhere in sight! I did, however, do a little bit of shopping and found this awesome sweater by my favorite boot maker (go figure) Kitties Lair. The boots are a 50L friday item by Kookie while the rest was dug up out of my inventory. Its comfy, its warm, and exactly what I would wear when stomping out through the snow. No more storms though, deal?
